With a background in sports psychology, John Shackleton has coached world champions and Olympic medallists. As a top swimmer himself, John then went on to become a professional coach in the sports of swimming and triathlon. He is passionate about helping athletes achieve their full potential and gain a competitive edge.
During the 1980s, John used his skills in the business world, where he helped managers and sales people raise their performance. He also ran his own corporate training consultancy and delivered programmes to a wide array of industries.
In 2013, after experiencing depression brought on by stress, John began his studies into how people cope with pressure. He discovered the world of Mindfulness and has since studied the neuroscience behind it, as well as developed practical ways to use it.
Combining his own background with his mental health journey, John has a unique and powerful approach in helping people deal with stress. A strong speaker, he is known for his humorous and hard-hitting style that resonates with audiences.
