What your team will learn:
Redefine what it Means to be Tough, Smash the Stigma that exists around Mental Health & Build Stronger, more Supportive Teams
Both Mike Rolls and Ben Pettingill intimately understand the challenges of facing extreme adversity and confronting their own mental health struggles.
Through their personal experiences, they have gained profound insights into the importance of maintaining a positive mindset, prioritizing mental health, and recognizing the power of a robust support network.
In September 2001, Mike contracted Meningococcal Septicaemia, one of the deadliest diseases, leading to the loss of his legs below the knees, among other injuries. On the other hand, at the age of 16, Ben woke up one day having lost 98% of his eyesight overnight due to the rare genetic syndrome, Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy (LHON). Both of these life-altering events reshaped the trajectory of their lives permanently.
In their collaborative efforts with organizations across Australia, Mike and Ben aim to dismantle stigma surrounding mental health and positively impact individuals throughout the country.
Mike and Ben offer a range of services, including individual team talks, large conference presentations, and interactive group workshops. These services are customized to meet the specific needs of clients and tailored to various industries.
Their 'Talkin Tough' sessions are specifically designed to redefine the concept of toughness, break down mental health stigma, and establish a practical and relatable connection with audiences. In these sessions, Mike and Ben promote a more effective interpretation of toughness, emphasizing that true toughness involves open communication and dialogue.
