With his long-time contributions to the Hawthorn Football Club, Jason Dunstall is widely regarded as one of AFL’s greatest full forwards ever. He continues to share his sporting expertise in a range of leadership positions and media appearances.

As a member of Hawthorn’s team of the century, Dunstall has been heavily involved with the club throughout his sporting career. He played in four AFL premierships and five pre-season premierships. With his incredible leadership and sportsmanship, Jason was selected All-Australian four times, and was also appointed Hawthorn’s captain from 1995 to 1998. 

By the time he retired from the sport in 1998, Jason had played an 269 games. He had also scored an incredible 1254 goals, making him the third highest AFL goal-kicker of all time, behind Tony Lockett and Gordon Coventry.

For his AFL career, Jason was inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame in 2002. He was also the interim CEO for Hawthorn Football Club, where he served on their board of directors.

Jason was a regular panellist during the early seasons of Channel Nine’s The Footy Show, drawing on his AFL years to provide a unique perspective on the sport. He also made guest appearances on Channel Seven and Radio 3AW.

Thanks to his insight, Jason continued to work as a media commentator, having hosted for Triple M Radio’s The Gospel, Channel Seven’s Live and Kicking, as well as on Foxtel’s FoxFooty programs like Saturday Central with Wayne Carey, On the Couch and League Teams.

Jason is a beloved media personality and keynote presenter. He draws on his AFL experience and engaging presentation style to connect with audiences across Australia.
