Jim Courier was the world’s number one tennis player in 1992-93 and in his 12-year career, won four majors – two French Opens and two Australian Opens.
By the time Courier was 23, he had reached the finals of each Grand Slam event and holds the record as the youngest player to do so.
The 2005 International Tennis Hall of Fame inductee was number one in the world for 58 weeks during his career. By the time he retired, Courier had racked up 23 singles titles and six doubles titles. He originally turned pro out of the famed Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in 1988 and retired from the ATP Tour in 2000. Courier grew up in Dade City, Florida and currently lives in Orlando.
Today Jim’s time is spent as a much sought after public speaker on the global circuit, a television commentator and analyst at the tennis Majors including the Australian Open, competing in the Seniors tennis tour and engaging in entrepreneurial ventures.. His foundation, Courier’s Kids, supports youth tennis in the inner city St. Petersburg, Florida inner city.
