The inspiring journalist sharing his journey ‘From Cancer to Consciousness’
With over three decades in journalism, Jonathan Gravenor has been showcasing important stories from around the world as a foreign correspondent, broadcast journalist, and media presenter. Covering everything from wars to the Olympic Games, Jonathan thought he had experienced everything to know about the human condition, until he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2012.
Jonathan underwent intensive treatment, including radical surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy treatment, only to find out that his biggest challenge was trying to regain the life he once had. He set off on a life-changing pilgrimage around the world in hopes of becoming a better person.
After spending decades sharing the stories of others, Jonathan's close encounter with death inspired him to share his own story. His new worldview has been helping himself, as well as millions around the world, understand their priorities and the true meaning of abundance.
Jonathan was invited to present a TED Talk in 2017, where he delivered a viral presentation that became the most watched YouTube video in several countries, and even reached trending at #3 in Australia for nearly one week.
Also in 2017, he published his first book “The Other Side of Ego: From Cancer to Consciousness”. Described by readers as honest and captivating, the book was nominated as a Finalist in the North American Indie Book Awards. Since then, he continues to write extensively, and is even working on a new book.
Having spent his entire professional career sharing important stories, Jonathan captivates his audiences with engaging stories about self-discovery. He regularly presents at speaking engagements across Australia, North America and the UK.
