Daisy Pearce, a former practicing midwife turned sporting star, Pearce is now one of the most prolific personalities in the game of AFLW and women’s sport.
Known as a founding AFLW marquee star, Pearce has lamented her name as a stalwart in the game since it’s infancy, helping bolster the game from a relatively unknown position to national success through her skills, leadership, media presence and ability to engage new audiences.
During her career, Pearce represented the Melbourne Demons from 2016-2022, with a plethora of achievements including being name three-time All Australian AFLW player (2017, 2018, season 6), a three-time Melbourne Demons best and fairest winner (2017, 2018, Season 6) and Premiership Player (season 7). In addition, Pearce was a successful playing captain, and voted multiple times by her teammates and AFLW peers for key awards.
Following her playing retirement, Pearce transitioned into coaching, first given an assistant coaching role at Geelong in their Men’s AFL team in 2022, before earning the role of senior coach of West Coast for the upcoming 2024 season.
Outside of her exceptional playing and coaching achievements, Pearce has become a popular and established media personality in both television and radio, with prominent roles as an expert commentator for the Seven Network and 1116 SEN’s AFL radio coverage.
