Adam Simpson is renowned for his illustrious career in Australian rules football, spanning both playing and coaching. His journey began in 1995 with North Melbourne, where he made his mark as a left-footed midfielder until 2009. Over the course of 306 games, Simpson played a pivotal role in the team’s success, securing two AFL Premierships in 1996 and 1999. Going on to become the captain of North Melbourne from 2004 to 2008, his strong work ethic and collaborative leadership was acknowledged with All-Australian honours and North Melbourne’s best and fairest award, the Syd Barker Medal.
In 2014, Simpson transitioned from his successful playing career to coaching, taking charge of the West Coast Eagles. Under his leadership, the Eagles clinched the AFL Premiership in 2018, a testament to his strategic insight, communication skills, and unique ability to cultivate a cohesive team culture amongst young talent. Simpson’s coaching career, extending until 2024, was marked by 244 games, 6 finals campaigns, and 2 Grand Final appearances, further establishing him as one of the AFL’s most impressive coaches.
Beyond football, Simpson has also achieved significant success in the business world. He can currently be seen managing over 150 workers at several Hungry Jack’s franchises in Western Australia.
