Tim Davies is a highly recognised television personality, known for brightening up mornings on Channel Nine's Today Show for the past decade. With over two decades of experience in journalism and hosting, Tim’s journey began after graduating from MacLeay College in Sydney, where he quickly made his mark as a traffic reporter for Nova 96.9 in 2003. He later expanded his repertoire to cover general news and report on significant events for the DMG Radio Australia network.
In 2009, Tim joined the Severn Network as a producer, contributing to programs like Sunrise, Weekend Sunrise, and The Morning Show. Transitioning to radio in 2013, he became a news presenter for the Austereo Radio Network, most notably on The Kyle and Jackie O show on 2Day FM. He continued in this role even after the show moved to rival station KIIS 106.5 in 2014.
Tim’s versatility led him back to television in 2014 when he joined the Nine Network, initially as a producer and reporter for Nine News. His role expanded over the years, becoming a presenter of Nine News: Early Edition, and as a fill-in host on Today Extra and Weekend Today. In a widely publicised overhaul in late 2019, Tim took over as the weather presenter on Today, succeeding Steve Jacobs.
