Peter Stefanovic is an award-winning Australian journalist, author, and the co-host of ‘First Edition’ on Sky News Australia. With a career spanning over two decades, Peter’s expertise has seen him cover some of the most significant global events of our time, from wars in the Middle East to terror attacks, natural disasters, and national elections.
Peter’s journey began in 2002 at WIN Television, where he reported for WIN News in Rockhampton and Canberra. In 2004, he joined the Nine Network, quickly establishing himself as a foreign correspondent based in Los Angeles and London. For nearly a decade, he provided on-the-ground coverage of turbulent events, earning recognition for his courage and commitment.
Upon returning to Australia, Peter worked as a senior reporter and presenter for Nine News, and later as a co-host on Weekend Today and a reporter for 60 Minutes. In 2016, he authored his book, ‘Hack in a Flak Jacket: Dispatches from an Aussie Foreign Correspondent’, detailing his experiences in the field.
In 2019, Peter joined Sky News as a co-host of First Edition, where his sharp insights and engaging style continue to inform and captivate audiences. Alongside his daily role, Peter also produces documentaries for Sky, sharing compelling stories from around the world.
