The presenter has led Homicide investigations for the past 20 years.  The decisions he made are scrutinised in the Criminal Courts or Coronial Courts, through the media and by the public.  The presenter will discuss how he makes decisions and how those decisions are justified;

• How to justify your decision
• Taking responsibility for your decisions.

The presenter has worked at the sharp end of policing for his whole career, he will entertain the audience with an insight into the life of a Homicide Detective discussing the highs and lows of being responsible for catching killers. This will be done with respect for the victims and the victim’s families who he has worked so closely with over the years.  This will include;

• The pressure of the chasing killers
• The emotional impact dealing with victims and the pain of their suffering
• An insight into bikie gangs and organised crime
• Dealing with criminal informants -Being threatened by persons you have locked up
• The impact of having a tv series (Underbelly) focussing on your work and personal life.

• Protecting the Prime Minister and Foreign Dignitaries
• Appearing at court as an accused person and being cheered by supporters 

The presenter was a Commissioned Officer in the NSW Police for 15 years and has been responsible for leading teams investigating gang land murders, serial killers, outlaw motorcycle gangs and the protection of foreign dignitaries. Drawing from those examples the presenter will discuss;

Having led some of the largest and longest running investigations in Australia and has also being criminally charged by his own organisation. The presenter will draw on those experiences and discuss;
