From his decade-long career, Ian Healy joins a minority of Australian cricket players with over 100 tests. Most notably, he holds a record for the most dismissals: 366 catches and 29 stumpings for a record of 395 dismissals.
After representing Australia internationally in countries like Sri Lanka and Pakistan, Ian would be recognised for his commitment to Australian cricket through his induction into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame and the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame in 2004 and 2008 respectively.
When he retired, Ian continued to be involved with the sporting industry as a commentator. He provides insightful sporting expertise for Australian media programs like “Nine News Queensland” and “Breakfast with Pat and Heals”.
