As an internationally recognised cricketer, Greg Ritchie draws on his extensive cricket experience to engage with all audiences. Affectionately known as ‘Fat Cat’, he has demonstrated impeccable timing across his sporting and speaking career.
Greg began his professional cricket career in 1982, where he became the only Australian to score three centuries in the Pakistan series. Shortly after in 1985, Greg re-joined the Ashes, playing 30 tests to a total of 1690 runs, including three centuries and seven half-centuries.
In 2000, Greg was named as one of the seven greatest Sheffield Shield run scorers in Queensland’s history. Across his decade-long career, he amassed a total of over 6000 runs.
When he retired from cricket, Greg pivoted into the broadcasting side of the sport, joining Channel Nine’s commentary team and Triple M Brisbane’s breakfast show.
