Dr Noel Patterson OAM is one of Australia’s leading sports injury specialists, having worked with Australian teams and elite athletes for over 20 years. He has treated members of Australia’s national swimming, cycling, cricket, and football teams just to mention a few, and has served as the official chiropractor for numerous World Championships and various international Games Teams. With over 42,000 patients personally treated—including more than 100 world champions and Olympic gold medallists—Dr Patterson has built one of the largest multi-disciplinary practices in Australia.
Often referred to as the Father of Sports Chiropractic, both in Australia and globally, Dr Patterson has lectured on sports injuries and biomechanics in over 30 countries. He was the Founder and President of the Australian Chiropractors Association Council on Sports Injuries and later established the Federation Internationale de Chiropractic Sportive, which now represents 45 member countries.
Dr Patterson’s academic background is extensive. He holds a Science degree majoring in Exercise Physiology, is a qualified radiographer with six years of emergency hospital experience, and earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic in Iowa, USA, and completed his Sports Chiropractic Speciality in the USA. His contributions to Australian sport were recognized with the Australian Sports Medal in 2000 and the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2014. He is also the author of numerous academic papers and three books.
Beyond his medical achievements, Dr Patterson has delivered The 3P Plan to global leaders, including Prime Ministers, Foreign Ministers, and members of Parliament. He has spoken at the United Nations in Geneva and met with influential figures such as the Pope and the Archbishop of Canterbury.
