She took him to court, and the ensuing court cases for sexual harassment and wrongful dismissal became some of the highest-profile cases in Australia in the late 1980s. Though her cases were instrumental in eventually changing the federal industrial relations laws, she lost everything. She had a choice; to end it all or dare more.
