Essential is a six-piece cover band fast on their way to becoming Melbourne’s top cover bands. With a repertoire of classic party favourites and latest music, each performance captivates audiences and transforms ordinary events into extraordinary events that are sure to be remembered.
Michelle Fornito and Suresh Kandasamy are the vocal sensations fronting Essential. They have performed at a variety of events including Studio 3 and the Palladium at Crown, Channel 9’s Carols at Candlelight, various AFL functions and awards nights, Etihad Stadium, Moonee Valley and Flemington Racecourse, Federation Square, The Royal Melbourne Show as well as many more. In 2011, Michelle and Suresh performed live on ‘Australia’s Got Talent’, backing the winner of the show Jack Vidgen.
Combining a variety of musical genres, eras and tastes, Essential produce a show that suits every audience member. With a repertoire covering musical icons such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Prince, as well as pop hits of today from Beyoncé, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, there is a party atmosphere created through their music.
