Beginning his career in stand-up comedy in 1983 at Melbourne’s Last Laugh, Richard quickly became a standout performer with his anecdotal style and real-life stories. His infectious humour and knack for storytelling led to sell-out seasons at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and performances at major comedy venues across the world, including Edinburgh, London, Montreal, and Los Angeles. Alongside his stand-up career, Richard has enjoyed a highly successful radio journey, beginning in 1984. He became a household name during his nine years at Triple M, where his morning and breakfast shows dominated the ratings. His versatility in radio saw him transition seamlessly to the ABC, where he spent 11 years at 774ABC, consistently taking his afternoon shift to the No.1 spot. He can currently be seen co-hosting a Saturday show on Melbourne’s 3AW with his brother.

From his early days as a giant kangaroo on the ABC, to hosting major shows like ‘Hey Hey It’s Saturday’ and ‘The ARIA’s’, Richard’s television credits are vast.
