As a classically trained singer and professional stage performer, Gorgi Coghlan hasn’t shied away from the spotlight. Her incredible performances have delighted viewers on Channel Nine’s ‘Carols by Candlelight’, ‘Singing Bee’ and ABBAMANIA. She is a fantastic choice for MC or host at any event and love to entertain any audience she is put in front of.
Holding a background in journalism, media, travel, entertainment, science, education and singing, there isn’t much Gorgi hasn’t done. She has been a regular panellist on Network Ten’s ‘The Project’, co-hosted ‘The Circle’ on Channel Ten and presented on Channel 7’s lifestyle show ‘Guide to the Good Life’.
For four years, Gorgi was the Melbourne reporter and travel presenter for The Today Show on the Nine Network. Working as a bulletin reporter, she has covered a range of stories including the 2006 Commonwealth Games, the Beaconsfield mine disaster, Private Kovco’s repatriation as well as an assortment of breaking news, entertainment news and sport. She also presented and hosted ‘Holidays for Sale’ and ‘Postcards’.
Gorgi also has a large background within the music and theatre industry. In 2006, Gorgi released her first album, titled ‘Edward’ as dedication to her grandfather who inspired her to get into singing. She has been involved in several musicals including ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘Oz’ and ‘Carousel’.
A proud ambassador, she has worked with The Langham, BOSA, Ronald McDonald House and Vision Australia.
