Peter began his career at DDB Needham Advertising in Sydney, where he spent 33 years progressing from a junior role to Managing Director. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in launching McDonald’s in Australia, an achievement that marked the beginning of his journey in shaping iconic brands.
In 1996, Peter co-founded the Gloria Jean’s Coffees franchise in Australia alongside business partner Nabi Saleh. What started as a single coffee house quickly grew into the largest specialty coffee retailer in the country, with over 400 stores across Australia and more than 800 locations in 39 countries worldwide. In 2005, Peter and Nabi acquired the international Master Franchise brand, cementing their legacy in global franchising. Their success was recognised when Gloria Jean’s Coffees won the PWC Excellence in Franchising – ‘Franchisor of the Year’ Award.
Today, Peter is a highly sought-after speaker at business conferences, leadership seminars, and church events around the world. His dynamic and engaging style blends practical business strategies with timeless biblical principles, empowering audiences to realise their full potential in both their professional and personal lives. He has authored two influential books, ‘Win In Business – 20 Keys to Catapult You Towards Your Vision’ and ‘Building Your Business, Your People, Your Life’, which offer actionable insights for entrepreneurs, leaders, and organisations.
Peter has a deep passion for equipping Christian leaders, pastors, and business professionals with the tools to connect faith with everyday life. He has spoken in churches worldwide, led youth groups, and mentored ministry leaders. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by NYACK College, New York, in 2017 for his impact on Christian business education and leadership.
Beyond business and ministry, Peter advocates for businesses to embrace a purpose beyond profits by partnering with charitable organisations. He also helps ministry and nonprofit leaders understand the value of strategic business partnerships in expanding their reach and effectiveness.
