Melissa is the Chief Financial & Operations Officer for hipages Group, an Australian-born, ASX-listed technology company that creates effortless solutions to help tradies streamline and grow their business and delight their customers. Driven by her passion for home renovation and design and led by her expertise in business transformation, Melissa has taken the hipages Group team to its most momentous milestones to date.
She has been responsible for hipages Groupʼs largest transformational change project including product transformation and transition to a subscription-only business
model, driving top-line growth, delivering strong profitability and positive operating cash flow, taking the company to a successful IPO, strategic investment in Australiaʼs leading prop-tech maintenance and repair company, Bricks & Agent (including a seat on its Board), and a trans-Tasman acquisition. Thatʼs just a topline summary of her first three years.

This diversity extends to the hipages Group Board and C-Suite which has a 50:50 gender split, including Mel as a member.
Melissa mentors her team to reset their state of mind to eliminate the barrier of a glass ceiling.
“Iʼve never allowed gender to be a blocker for me. Leading with empathy separated me from the pack whether it was male or female. Calmness and resilience are two of the most valuable tools in business and leadership. I lead and coach others by teaching them how to get into this mindset,” said Melissa.
Melissa is a regular speaker at high-calibre events such as ASX CEO Connect, CFO Summit and Macquarie Group Annual Conference. She has extensive experience across multiple industries including technology, private equity, e-commerce, corporate development, and financial services and markets. Industry-leading companies that she has worth with include PwC, AMP Henderson Private Equity, HT&E, and Lux Group / Luxury Escapes.
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, majoring in Accountancy and a sub-major in Law. She is a Chartered Accountant and has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.
