Since 2017, Brian has served as the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Cultural Cyber Security, where he brings a wealth of security experience to provide innovative solutions to difficult problems. He consults with clients to develop a proactive strategy that drives business and security in a symbiotic relationship to deliver organisational cyber safety and success.
Before focusing on Cultural Cyber Security, Brian was Detective Superintendent at Queensland Police and served in financial, identity and cybercrime for 35 years. He was also the Commander of the Queensland Police Fraud & Cyber Crime Group, Chair of the Australian New Zealand Advisory Agency's eCrime Working Group, a key component of the Australian Cybercrime Online Reporting Network, and member of the Federal Attorney-General National Cybercrime Working Group.
In 2010, Brian was awarded the National AusCERT Award for Individual Excellence in Information Security.
Brian is also a renowned thought leader and highly sought-after public speaker and roundtable facilitator. He has numerous speaking engagements, including FBI International Crime Conference, International Terrorism and Money Laundering Conference in Turkey (2013), CISO Leaders Summit (2017), Cyber Terrorism Conference (2017) and in CFO Symposiums in Australia and New Zealand from 2015 to 2017.
