Bruce Cotterill is a professional and humorous motivational speaker with a background in the business industry. His previous experience helps to improve other organisations, identifying underlying principles and making suggestions that are easy to understand and apply.
By the age of 34, Bruce was appointed a leader for Australia’s top commercial real estate company, Colliers. After a successful turnaround period, he developed the ‘7 Principles of Profit’, and began speaking to corporate audiences and sharing his knowledge with executives and business owners.
He was also hired by Kerry Packer’s ACP Magazines and iconic sportswear company Canterbury International for assistance. In 2008, shareholders of the Yellow Pages Group asked him to step in as CEO to lead the company through a period of drastic changes including the restructure of $1.8 billion of debt. Although the companies changed, his seven principles remained relevant and could be applied to any organisation.
Cotterill is now a professional director and advisor, sought after by large corporations to improve both performance and profits. He speaks to managers and leaders to educate them on motivating team members, leading to higher success rates. Recently he consulted with Telstra, identifying over $100 million of profit improvement opportunity as well as advising the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority in Christchurch, New Zealand.
