Marty Wilson is no stranger to change, having successfully pivoted his career across a number of different industries.
Originally starting as a pharmacist, Marty moved into an award-winning role as a copywriter for blue chip accounts like Coke, the NRL and Aussie Home Loans. After being the voice for some of Australia’s biggest corporations, Marty found his own voice performing open comedy mics. In just a year, he would go on to appearing on The Footy Show and was on the way to winning the prestigious Green Faces in Canberra. He took his comedy all the way to the UK, where he headlined at all the leading British and Irish comedy clubs, including The Comedy Store, The Gleeclub and Jongleurs. He continues to share his love for comedy at the Melbourne and Edinburgh Festivals, the Virgin Rock Festival in London, as well as major comedy UK showcases like Live at Jongleurs and The Comedy Store Live.
After marrying his wife and becoming a dad, Marty moved back to Australia to focus on his family. Focusing on his writing career, Marty is the best-selling author of 18 books, and a frequent contributor to Reader’s Digest, the Sydney Morning Herald and a dozen magazines. He has a children’s book coming out called “What do you want, the truth or a good story?” He also regularly appears on Sunrise.
Marty attributes his life experience, and over a thousand interviews with inspirational people, for giving him a unique perspective on the profound truths hidden in the humblest of life stories. He is committed to sharing those wisdoms in an empathetic, articulate and laugh-out-loud presentation.
